DATA CREATION
GIS data creation from primary sources: aerial photography, remote sensing, GPS, surveys, lidar, Digital Terrain Models, Digital Elevation Models, planimetric data, and classified images.

DATA CONVERSION
Aero-Metric performs data translation and data “conditioning” for many of our projects. Some projects require creation of digital data from analog maps, while others require the final data to be in a different format. Data translation also provides a unique opportunity for quality control and editing. The translation method we use is directly related to the purpose of the project and the beginning and final data types. Possible scenarios include Native GIS Formats, Tabular Data, and Non-Digital Data.

CARTOGRAPHY
Presentation of the wide variety of data we produce in a correct, readable, and pleasing fashion. Creating hardcopy plots, sophisticated digital GIS projects, or simple graphics is work we do every day.

RASTER & VECTOR DATA ANALYSIS
Raster GIS modeling, watershed analysis from elevation data, viewshed analysis, image spectral classification, and segment classification are among the wide variety of GIS and image analysis tools we use to extract information from both continuous and thematic data, and to convert one to the other. Data extraction from image and raster data are at the core of Aero-Metric's vector GIS capabilities. We build upon original data to create new information relevant to needs such as change detection, site selection, flight path obstruction detection, and what-if scenario evaluation.
